Freaking Friday Fun Wrap-up

Freaking Friday Fun! Alright I've posted a lot of long stories so today will be some quick hitters and just pure fun so you can catchup with your reading with the posts below.

TASW Wrestling
As mentioned in my M
onday post, Brutality Incorporated is going back to the Historic Humble Bingo Arena to defend out TASW Tag Team Titles that we won a month ago. We will be fighting in the "Night of Champions" at 8 p.m. up against Nate Slater and Rocco Carmanooch. Although I do not hold a tag title and just manage the team, there is a good chance that I will be one of the wrestlers. Rumor has it that Ken Hoffman's leg might not be ready to go tomorrow night...come out for some entertaining wrestling tomorrow night at 8 p.m. You can get more information at TASW. Oh, and the Sheik will be out there. Here are some interviews with Nate Slater and Scoby "Wildcat" Gober to pump you up for the match.

Kobe Bryant...Meet Raheel Ramzanali

I have professed my man love for Kobe Bryant many times. I think he is the best player in the NBA and the best that I've ever seen in terms of how one guy improved his game year-by-year. Kobe has a killer work ethic and likes to be a killer on the basketball court. He plays hard aggressive defense and at the same time wants to take your heart out by hitting big shots. He is a beast on the court.

Now, am I a fan of everything he does off the court? No. But, he is still my sports role model because when I play basketball I try to model my game after his. Look, if I can give you one piece of advice, always make an athlete your role model for his on the court effort and never what he does off the court. We as fans have NO idea about how the athletes are off the court. If you are looking at making an athlete your role model then you need to look some where else because a lot of athletes are flawed.

Well, on Wednesday night, I had a chance to meet Kobe Bryant through work. I go to most of the Rockets' games since I have to gather sound for 1560 The Game's various shows. So yesterday, as part of my job, I talked to Kobe Bryant after the game. I am man enough to say that I was in awe when I was interviewing him (okay, so it wasnt a 1-on-1 but it was still cool even if I had 8 other guys around me)...

The first time I saw Kobe that night was before the game when I went into the Lakers locker room for pre-game sound and a chance to get an interview with Kobe. (Although I did not get a 1-on-1 with Kobe, I did get one with Chris Mihm on Texas Basketball...I will post that soon) Kobe was in the training room getting his ankles taped up so he was not speaking to the media. But, as I was walking out I looked into the training room and made eye contact with Mamba. For that moment, Kobe and I were the only ones locking eyes in the world. He knew I was a fan. Sorry, that was very Broke Back. It was awesome!

After the game I finally did interview Kobe and found out some shocking news, Kobe Bryant is my brother. After I finally asked him a question, he responded by calling me "Bro". I had no idea that I was Kobe's brother! It was AWESOME! He did not call anybody else "BRO" that night! Here is a little clip of the interview with a family song mixed in.

powered by ODEO

All in all, it was a good night. I got to watch Kobe live for the first time and I had a chance to meet him. To preserve this night, I mixed up all the answers he gave to various questions from the post game interview and put it up for you the reader. Here are some highlights...Some reporter asked if he is proud of his new found defensive energy. Kobe responded with, look I've been doing this for a while, look at my seven all-NBA defensive team awards. CLASSIC! He also called himself Kobe Mutombo and said T-mac hurt his elbow on purpose so he can get out of baby duties! Enjoy!

The Brian Ching Song

After watching the Dynamo kick some ass last Saturday, Ken Hoffman gave me a project. That project was to write a parody song to honor our friend and Brutality Incorporated member Brian Ching. We've had a lot of fun with the All-Star Soccer player and we think the guy is awesome so its only fair that he has a song. We wrote the song based on Johnny Cash's song Ring of Fire. Although some might say my parody song sucks, I think its some of the best work to ever be aired. Here are some other things people are saying about "Brian Ching is on Fire"

"A powerful song that has a lot of meaning and captures the man that is Brian Ching..."
-
Raheel Ramzanali

"Some of the best work to ever be aired on 1560 The Game..."
-
Raheel Ramzanali

"Wow, what a great song. Everybody should put this on their I-pods..."

The "Dub-C-C" State of the Union

For those of you who do not listen to the Sean and John show here is what the "Dub-C-C" is: It's a club created by Texans wide receiver David Anderson for all the 5'10 and under White Wide Receivers. Here is the hard hitting story that I did about the small group of receivers that are trying to keep the rich history of White Wide Receivers alive.

powered by ODEO

*Drum Roll* Now the following is the mid-season State of the Union for the WCC in regards of who holds what position and what criteria a person needs to be part of the club. David also makes a shocking announcement about his status in the club. This is a must hear so enjoy it!

powered by ODEO

Now you are probably wondering, why was David singing in the end? Well, he made a cameo on the Daily Catchup with Jacoby Jones on Wednesday....here is the awesome duet.

Now that you know what the "Dub-C-C" is, here is one of the earlier State of the Unions that David Anderson made a few weeks later after we learned about the club.

A Recap (and preview) of the week

Another Monday, another blog entry. Last week was a busy week with Juego Palooza, the launching of ringtones and of course the shows so I did not get a chance to post some small stories. So today, I will post a few stories from last week and also talk about the upcoming week. As Triple H would say, It's time to make the donuts.

  • This is not official but Houston Dynamo games could be the best live sporting event in Houston. Better than the Texans, better than the Rockets and yes, even better than catching a game Minute Maid Park. I went to the big Western Conference Final match between Houston and Kansas City (Houston won 2-0). This was my first Dynamo game so I had no idea what to expect. I was blown away by how passionate the fans are and how much they love this team. Our tickets were next to the Dynamo band (watch video below) and they played their drums for almost three hours straight. In other news, I was going to bring my stadium horn in but it was confiscated at the front door by some rent a cop. You could imagine my disappointment when I get to my seats and see how 12 guys snuck in drum sets! Soccer itself is a boring game to watch, its the fanfare that makes it the most popular game in the World. The highlight for me was when fans were tossing streamers at players and referees. Watching streamers hit referees could be the funniest thing in sports. I think other sports should adopt this tradition. Could you imagine a fan hitting Joey Crawford after a bad call?! Our boy, Brian Ching was injured in the game and might not be able to play in the Championship game this Saturday. Brian will be on the Hoffman show Tuesday at 1 p.m. Here are some videos from the stands as brought to you by my T-mobile Dash...I know the quality sucks but just try to enjoy it.

  • Dikembe Mutombo could be the funniest guy in the NBA. On Tuesday night, I went to the Rockets vs. Spurs game to watch the Rockets in action but also to speak with Dikembe for the John and Lance Show. Here was my assignment. I had to get Dikembe to say, "Hey this is Dikembe Mutombo from the Houston Rockets and you are listening to 1560 The game with John and Lance." Here is what he said...

  • powered by ODEO

  • Juego Palooza 2007! Talk about a party! On Friday night, 1560 The Game threw the first ever listener appreciation party at Nick's Place called Juego Palooza! The party started 2pm with the Sean and John and ended at some random time in the morning. The party was awesome for me because I had a chance to meet a lot of listeners who e-mail the Hoffman show and Sean and John. I also received a lot of feedback about the work we are doing and it was all good! It felt really good to know that people are listening and are interested in our station. The highlight of my night was doing Crank that Soulja Boy with Ken Hoffman...The video of us doing it will be up soon...in the meantime here is a picture of us cranking it. Also, I want to thank everyone who I talked to on Friday night for the kind words and that we are ALL doing this for you.

Things to Come:
  • Brutality Incorporated is BACK! The Tag Team Champions are taking on Nate Slater and Rocco Carmanooch to defend the belts. We will be at the Historic Humble Bingo Arena (TASW Arena) on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available on their website so buy them early and come out for some entertainment. Check out this, they are putting me on their website in the news section, picture and all, just scroll down. Rumor has it that this time around, I will come in as a manager but end up fighting for the team. If you are lost about what this wrestling stuff is, here is the post about it.

  • Rockets vs. Lakers Wednesday night at the Toyota Center...There is no hiding the fact that I like Kobe Bryant. I think he is the best player and I enjoy watching him. He has a killer work ethic and plays with an edge that can only be compared to the great one (who by the way is going to set a record for a settlement in a divorce.)...I get excited about all sporting events but I have been looking forward to this game since the schedule came out. This will be my first time to see Kobe in person and I will be getting there really early to watch him warm-up because I've heard his warm-up is very intense. I will post pictures from the game on Thursday.

Chris Jericho Breaking Down the Walls!

I don't hide the fact that I like wrestling. In fact, I am a pro-wrestler. So today when we had Chris Jericho on our show I felt like a kid in a candy store. My favorite wrestlers of all time, in no particular order, are the Rock, Triple H and Jericho. This was like talking to Kobe Bryant or pick your active hall of famer in any sport. Jericho is a really bright guy so the interview is awesome. But the best part of the interview was when Ken decided to profess his man love to Jericho. I have posted that under the real interview. Enjoy!!

Happy Birthday Chance McClain!

Today is a special day because it is Chance McClain's bday! Chance is the guy who gave me a shot three years ago as an intern at a radio station he was working at. He also is my mentor and taught me a lot about radio. It is only right that I pay him tribute today for his birthday!

In addition to being a badass, Chance is also part of Apollo XVIII, one of the best bands ever! He is also responsible for The Eyes of Texas remix and the Yao Ming song!

Chance can make a song about anyone, thing or concept! Check out his music with Apollo XVIII

In honor of Chance's bday, I am posting a youtube video of my fav. Apollo song. Enjoy!

Brian Ching goes at it again!

Well, another week and another day with Brian Ching to take on a 5th grader in a trivia contest! Before you listen to it, I have to let you know that Brian Ching is one of nicest athletes in Houston. He goes along with everything and never is a bad sport. He also is a damn good soccer player! He singly handily defeated those losers from FC Dallas by scoring two goals and getting an assist! The Dynamo take on Kansas City this Saturday night at Robertson stadium for a chance to play in the Championship game! Two in a row baby!

1560 The Game Ringtones

We have now setup 1560 The Game Ringtones for you the listener! I came across the idea after a listener started singing the Jacoby Jones catchup at Cougar Palooza when Jacoby Jones touched the ball on a punt return. So I setup a system for free ringtones and now you can own some classics from 1560 the Game.

1560 The Game Ringtones

Paula DeAnda???

So a few weeks back I was at Texans practice and each week we are introduced the artist who will be singing the National Anthem at the game. Well, that week it was some teenager named Paula DeAnda. I thought nothing of it and to be polite invited Paula to come on the Ken Hoffman show to talk about her performance. So I go about my day and when it came time to do show prep for the next day's show, I googled Paula.

Turns out that Paula DeAnda is pretty popular with the teenage crowd! I went home and got more information about this Paula chick from my younger sister. Soon as I told her that I will be interviewing Paula, she went all teeny bopper on me and was running around the house in excitement. I told her its just Paula DeAnda and she told me that Paula had a no.1 song on TRL. That's pretty big. The next day we interviewed Paula and she came off as a really nice person. I pride myself on being up to date with whats hot and whats not. This was the first time that I felt like I was out of the loop because I had never heard of this artist. God bless younger sisters who can update you on whats hot and whats not.

Here is the interview and a picture from the interview.

Back in Austin for the First Time

This past weekend I went back to Austin for the first time since graduating to catch the Texas v Nebraska game. Coincidentally, Halloween weekend happened to fall on the same days! Let me tell you, nothing compares to Halloween weekend in Austin on a football game day! In fact, I am making Halloween weekend the unofficial official Alumni Weekend. It starts with the game and spills right over on to 6th Street. Here are some notes from the weekend:

  • Matthew McConaughey is the unofficial mascot for UT...its a done deal. I think I saw the UT Co-op selling shirts with Matthew on it. During the game, I was sitting right underneath his box so we saw a lot of Matthew. In fact, at one point in the game, I proposed to McConaughey...he said no. Check pictures below to see Matthew.
  • UT Football games, hell all college games, are the best. It felt so good being back watching a football game with passionate fans. Whoops, for the most passionate fans. UT fans are bandwagon fans to the fullest. UT v Nebraska is a big match-up regardless of records. The game did not sell out. Sad.
  • College kids in costumes = pure entertainment. The best costumes that I saw were three kids dressed up like Tetris pieces, Chewbacca and The Wild Thing from Major League. I dressed up like a soccer fan aka a normal night out for me. I just put on my Aregntina Maradona jersey. Also, I really like the fact that girls can make any costume slutty! I saw a slutty nun, a slutty slut and a slutty Harry Potter...God bless Halloween.
  • 6th street is still the best party scene. It was so good seeing people my age having fun!
  • While out on 6th, a few people came up to me and asked me if I was the guy from Aaj Kal...that was really cool. I felt like a star. I told them that is me but I big timed by getting my entourage to beat them up...jp.
  • Here are the pictures from the weeeknd....

Some New Music

From time to time I like to post about some new music that I come across. While in Austin, I was listening to my old station 91.7 and came across the artist Kenna. I'm into all types of music as long as it sounds good. Well, Kenna sounds awesome. Here is some back ground on Kenna. For all of you Houston folks, Kenna will be performing in Houston on 11/2. Here is some information about the concert. Enjoy the song...I'm linking to another blog that has the song on it.

Here are the pictures from the MS150! Before our final stretch, we stopped at a gas station to get some ice cream. I held on to my ice cream stick so I could chew on something during the final stretch.

Clyde Drexler is so awesome!

As you know from earlier posts, Clyde coached the 1560 The Game basketball team to victory at the Rockets Media 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. We interviewed him about life after basketball. Check it out underneath.

Wings over Houston flight pictures and video

Here are some of the pictures and videos from my flight with the Greg Poe Air Shows team.

BCS Newscasters poll out!

The new polls are out and you can find it here on Pardon the Raheel Ramzanali!

Kicking it a World Cupper

I play soccer. Okay, I just started playing soccer three months ago but I like it! Well, I like the sport even more now that I met Brian Ching. Brian is one of the stars for the Houston Dynamo. He was on the USA World Cup Team and has been a staple in the USA soccer scene in the last few years. I first met Brian when he came on the Ken Hoffman show to talk about his charity and the team. Most athletes in the big three sports (NFL, NBA and MLB) are always busy and act like tools. Well, Brian is not like them. Brian acts like your average guy but has super human soccer skills.

It was only normal that Brian took a liking to Ken and myself. In fact he liked us so much that he came out to our lunch meeting before our big TASW wrestling match. Even though Brian ordered a salad at Hooters we still like him. The highlight of my friendship so far with Brian has to be when he texted me after my ass whooping in Humble at the TASW match with this:

Brian Ching: haha that beat down was awesome...your new nickname is bitch slap.

Thanks salad eater. All jokes aside, Brian is good people and I hope everyone supports him and the Dynamo.

Here are some segments from when Brian joined us on the show. He will also be on Oct. 24th at 1 p.m.

Dating On-air

If you listen to the Ken Hoffman show then you know I went to dinner with Rebecca Spera from Great Day Houston. As yall know, I was the bachelor of the week and through that I got a date with Rebecca. She was the one on my left during the segment and asked me out. I thought this was her just being goofy on air. Well, turns out that it was not a fake date. We really went on a date and she is a really nice person.

The best part of the date was when Rebecca pulled out her day planner...when you think day planners you probably are thinking a Blackberry, a phone or some other wireless device. Well, not for Rebecca, she still rolls with the old yearbook style day planner! Here are some pictures of the day planner! I have also attached Rebecca talking about the date on the Ken Hoffman show.

Rebecca penciled in our date.

Riding in the MS 150

I just finished my first MS150 from San Antonio to Corpus Christi this weekend and absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed challenging my body and riding across the beautiful state of Texas. Here are some of my observations from the weekend:
  • Riding 150 miles on a bike is hard but not that hard! The hardest problem that I faced was that my ass hurt a lot throughout the weekend. I guess sitting on a small seat for 150 miles will do that to the ass. My legs never really hurt too much. I never felt like I could not get through a stretch because my legs were hurting too much. I play in basketball tournaments and my body is more tired after those than the MS150. But then again, I was riding about 13mph. Most of the hardcore bikers were going about 20-25mph.
  • The best part of the ride was going through small Texas towns and stopping to talk with people. For example, I stopped at a Wal-Mart in some small town and talked football with a guy who has two sons on the high school football team. Football really is the only thing these folks have in terms of sports teams. It felt as if I were living out a Friday Night Lights episode.
  • Some bikers take this sport too seriously. Most of the riders were part of some sort of team. These bikers ride 60 miles on Sunday mornings and enjoy it. They all wore matching bike shirts and looked goofy. Whenever these tools would pass us, they would get mad at Team Hoffman (Ken and me) for going to slow and taking up road space. They need to understand, its not a race! The only race we are part of is trying to find the cure for MS.
  • Rest stops are a bikers best friend! I looked forward to rest stops because you get free Powerade and power bars. God bless Powerade.
  • I was Mr. 3000! My riding number was 3,000! I was a legend out there.
  • Crossing the finishing line is the best part of the race. The people of Corpus lined up the finishing line and cheered us on. It was a good feeling being cheered on after a grueling bike ride.

The Daily Catchup with Jacoby Jones

I've been getting a lot of requests to link up my Jacoby Jones catchup that I do for the Sean and John show here at 1560 The Game.

Here is how this segment started. I was talking to JJ and I started asking him dumb questions. Well, JJ was really cool about it so I kept coming back every day with more and more questions. The listeners found the segment to be entertaining so I created an intro for the Jacoby after the big Crank That Superman by Souldja Boy. I have linked up the last two segments below.

Enjoy it!

Great Day Houston

So I just got off Great Day Houston as the bachelor of the week and here is how it went down:

  • I come into the studios at 8:30 a.m. and hang around in the green with some models. Yeah I know, a bad day to start the day off!
  • 9 a.m. rolls around and Great Day Houston is off and running with their programming!
  • They do a three segments that go from a fashion show to chicken soup for the soul...
  • 9:35 a.m. the stage hands pull me into the back and tell me how to walk in...
  • 9:36 a.m. Cristina, Whitney and Rebecca do a quick intro of me and I walk out
  • We all talk and im asked questions about what I want in women....and in a matter of 5 mins its all done!
  • No numbers just yet but hopefully that will change! Anyways, all and all it was a lot of fun and I cant wait to work with Great Day Houston again!

The King is Back

It's been a while since I've posted but its time to get back on track. As most of you know, I graduated from UT last May and now I am at my dream job working in Houston for 1560 The Game. I am truly thankful for this job. I left college and am now working in my hometown as a sidekick for the Ken Hoffman show (12-2 p.m.) I am entering my 8th week at the station and I have done some truly spectacular things and I would like to share them with you. From now on, this blog will serve as some what of a recap of my experiences and opinions. I will now recap some of the things I have done in the last month and change:

  • Bachelor of the Week?!: For some odd reason, I will be on Great Day Houston this Friday (Oct. 19, 2007) as their bachelor of the week...I was told by Cristina Terrill, the reporter and co-host for the show, that I could expect a surprise since Ken Hoffman has requested that I get a makeover of some sorts. This is just mind blowing for me because I am just a regular 22-year-old Pakistani kid from Sugar Land, TX. Cristina joined us on the show and my dating life came up some how so thats why I asked to do this! Cristina is one of the nicest people I have met so I feel confident that she won't embarrass me too much. This is why she is no.2 in the BCS Newscasters Poll that I put out every week. If you want to watch the show and you don't live in Houston then you can watch it on their website live Friday morning at 9 a.m.
  • Getting an Ass kicking: I am now the manager of the new tag team champions! I managed Sean Pendergast and Ken Hoffman on their road to victory to capture the Texas All-Star Wrestling Tag Team Belts. I dressed up like a Sheik and came out in red neck country (Humble, at the Historic Humble Bingo Arena) yelling all sorts of non-sense! I grew up watching wrestling so this was a dream come true for me. I have always appreciated wrestlers but after getting a beat down like none other, I appreciate them much more. After Hoffy made the pin on Bones in the ring, I started to celebrate with them until Hoffy turned on me. After this turning, I was put into four finishers and had to be helped out of the ring since I think I had a mild concussion. I have attached some pictures from the event and the video should be up soon.
  • We Are the Champions: There is one thing in my life that keeps me sane and that's playing basketball. So when I was told that the Houston Rockets were holding a media 3-on-3 basketball tournament, I knew 1560 the Game was going to win it. I guaranteed a victory on air for three weeks and when the day came, I felt good about it. When our team arrived to the Toyota Center we felt good about our chances since most of the media members are out of shape. I consider myself to be in good shape and a decent basketball player, plus it didn't hurt that I was the youngest player out there. Well, we started the day off by playing our rival sports station, Sports Radio 610! After a tough hard game, we came out on top and thus started our road to the trophy. The team went on to beat the Houston Chronicle in the championship game! We only lost two games and both were to the Rockets GM and scouting directors. Those guys have game. Some other highlights included me meeting Clyde Drexler! At one point, Clyde was coaching our team! A top 50 player of all time was coaching a bunch of scrubs like us! At one point, Clyde called me a half decent player, what a wonderful world!
  • Flying HIGH: As part of duty to go out and cover events that don't get the coverage like the major sports, I went out and interviewed a few people from the Wings Over Houston Air Show! While I was there I had a chance to ride in a single-engine plane with the world renown Greg Poe Air Team. Lucky for me, I did not have to ride in the stunt plane. I was okay in the plane that has photographers and other pilots in it. But this plane was no joke because it had no door! The only thing from saving me from flying out was a yellow rope attached to my harness. Luckily nothing happened! This was a really cool experience for me because I love flying and anytime I fly on a commercial plane I always call window seat so I can look out. Well, this time I looked out felt the clouds over Galveston!
  • Only 7 kolaches! About a month ago Sean Pendergast from the Sean and John show participated in the Kolache Factory I.F.O.C.E Kolache Eating Contest held at Minute Maid Park! Sean loves kolaches and Sean seems like a man who can eat with the best, well not that day. Sean was put up against one of the greats of all time, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut. The contest works like this, 10 eaters, 8 minutes and boxes upon boxes of sausage and cheese kolaches! Joey ended up winning the contest with 56 kolaches. Sean ate, well only 7. It was a let down but he put up a tough hard fight. At one point during the contest he was pointing at the 1560 The Game staff. We were on the field watching our boy! Leading up to the event, Joey Chestnut joined the Ken Hoffman show and I had a chance to talk to a world champion! Joey is the guy who beat Kobayashi in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Joey is a really nice guy and I had a chance to hangout with him before and after the competition. At one point I asked Joey if I could get his novelty check (see pictures) and he more than gladly gave it to me since he probably would have had to check it on his flight back.
Make sure to check King of Sports every week for a recap of my week and other stories from my job. Things to come, hanging out with an MLS All-Star, Catching up with Jacoby Jones and meeting the Rockets.

My Final Show on KVRX

Hey everyone,

So this is it, the final show for the King. Due to some technical difficulties, the podcast had to be recorded on my MP3 player and the sound quality is not too great. Nonetheless, you can still listen to the show and hear my recaps of my years at UT. I have also uploaded a video of the final segment to give yall an insiders look on how we do things. Thanks once again to everyone for listening and the whole KVRX Sports, current and present, staff for helping me throughout the years.

Enjoy the show, video and pictures from the final show.

Quick Hits on the Week

Due to giving everyone a week off, we did not have a show this morning! Next week will be the final edition of the Tuesday Morning Longhorn Roundup with myself. Next week's show will be a recap of my three years at KVRX and UT featuring all of my past co-hosts and memorable stories.

NBA Playoffs
  • Dallas up against the ropes! I would love to see the Dallas Mavericks and their crying owner get knocked out in the first round after posting a franchise, and NBA, best season. Dirk is not the MVP of the NBA and this series shows it. No MVP disappears in a first round series. We talked about this on the show and said that Golden State will give the Mavs troubles but never thought they would knock them out with such ease.
  • Kobe vs. Nash...even though the Lakers will get knocked out, it has been fun seeing Nash and Kobe go at it once again. These two show what MVPs do. Kobe has tried to rally his team even with limited talent. Nash dishes out what seems like 900 assists a game and keeps playing exceptional basketball.
  • Rockets on the Road...T-mac finally put the series on his shoulders, but at home. Tracy needs to play his best basketball at Utah and not shoot 30%. The combo of Tracy and Yao is like a poor man's Kobe and Shaq but it is getting the job done. If Gundy can rally his bench and get this team going, they could get to the Conf. Finals.
  • Eastern Conference Sweeps...the Southeast goes 0-12 in the playoffs and shows why the Central is such a strong division. The Eastern Conf. is a one way road to good basketball! Cavs vs. Nets and Bulls (my pick to make it to the NBA Finals) vs. the Pistons!
NFL Draft
  • 7 Longhorns get drafted and it seems like UT is now the new defensive back school! Mack can def. bring in the best talent and show them that they will get drafted.
  • The Texans draft another D-line. Amobi Okoye should be a good fit in the system but at the same time can go the roads of Travis "Mr.T" Johnson. No one will remember this draft for the Texans, they will still talk about last year and the passing of Young.
  • The Patriots become win hungry...who would have thought the Patriots would draft and trade on talent and not character? Are they going down the slow path of being just another team that will do anything to win? I think Moss will fit in just fine with the Patriots and Meriweather will not stomp on any other helmets.
  • The Draft is boring...I could not watch the draft. Maybe I'm not one of the millions who wants an early Christmas. I think the NFL draft is long and boring. Please, make your first round picks and leave me alone. Don't force 100 rounds down my throat.
